The first movie in the Lord Of The Rings trilogy will carry warnings it is unsuitable for young children.
It will become only the third PG film to carry such warnings.
Film classifiers, are giving extra advice aimed at children under eight, over battle, and horror scenes.
The British Board Of Film Classification says the film: 'Was not strong enough to take it into the 12 category, but it is at the top end of the PG category.'
