Young Chinese pianist Yundi Li is to perform Chopin's First Piano Concerto on November 25 in the Goldenensaal of Vienna's Musikverein.
Li won the Warsaw Chopin Competition in 2000 and he has been newly signed to Deutsche Grammophon.
The Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, with music director Wingsie Yip, will accompany Li in Vienna.
This will be the pianist's first European appearance with an orchestra since his competition triumph last year.
Commemorating 30 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People's Republic of China and Austria, the orchestra's European debut is viewed by Chinese officials as a major artistic achievement.
