Dame Judi Dench is to receive one of the highest honours of the British film industry.
The Oscar-winning star will be awarded a Bafta Fellowship for her exceptional career on film which stretches back nearly four decades.
Her career will also be celebrated at a star-studded tribute evening, to be attended by actors including Pierce Brosnan, Dame Maggie Smith and Richard E Grant.
The actress will celebrate her 67th birthday on the day of her gala evening, December 9.
Dame Judi Dench has picked up five Baftas, most recently a best actress trophy, for her TV role in the BBC drama, 'Last Of The Blonde Bombshells'.
Her first was during the sixties for most promising newcomer, in 'Four In the Morning'.
