Michael Barrymore has signed a new £300,000 deal with ITV.
He is set to film a new series of 'My Kind Of Music' in the New Year.
It is his first firm contract since the body of Stuart Lubbock was found in his swimming pool in April.
A spokeswoman for London Weekend Television said "We are in an early stage of pre-production at the moment. Recording won't be until January or February and we expect on t any earlier.
"Once we sort it out we'll get a transmission date but we expect it to go out in springtime at the earliest."
It is thought a new series of 'My Kind Of Music' was commissioned after the show won Most Popular Entertainment Programme at the National TV Awards.
