Irish actor Gabriel Byrne is to return to the big screen as a murdering husband in a new movie by David Cronenberg.
‘Spider’, which tells the story of a disturbed boy whose father kills his mother and replaces her with a prostitute, is based on a book by horror author Patrick McGrath.
The film will have a $10 million dollar budget and will be made in Toronto.
Byrne is following in the footsteps of another famous Irish actor Liam Neeson, who is also starring in a film based on one of McGrath’s books.
