Former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted has told MTV that he would be happy to work with the band again in the future.
He told the station that if his three former bandmates asked him he would be there for them "110%".
He also elaborated on his reasons for walking away from the metal legends at the beginning of the year.
He said that it was not easy to leave the band but that his health had suffered from constant touring and playing live gigs is not an option for him at this moment in time.
Metallica are set to begin work on their tenth album in the near future.
