The Backstreet Boys will join Paul McCartney, The Who, Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger, Macy Gray and many others on the bill for The Concert for New York in Madison Square Garden on October 20.
The boy band have cancelled a previously arranged concert in San Diego to be able to participate in the NY fundraising event, while they are also due to appear at the United We Stand concert in Washington the following night.
The Concert for New York will also feature appearances from film and television stars such as Adam Sandler, Mike Myers, Reese Witherspoon and Michael J. Fox.
America Online's entire US customer service support team will field donation calls during the concert, which will be broadcast live on VH1.
