Madonna has denied stories that she had an operation for a stomach hernia.
It had been claimed the hernia was brought on by riding a mechanical bull during her world tour and that she had checked into a hospital in Los Angeles for surgery.
A spokesman for the singer said, "It's not true. She didn't have an operation."
The 'bucking bronco' was part of the stage show in her Drowned World gigs.
Reports said Madonna injured herself severely while riding a mechanical bull during the exuberant dance routine that accompanies the song 'Tell Me'.
