Actress Angelina Jolie has donated $1m to help the refugees fleeing Afghanistan.
The cash will go to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees’ appeal.
The UN is hoping to raise £185 million to fund humanitarian efforts in and around Afghanistan.
Jolie, who is a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, visited Pakistan in August to visit some of the 3.5 million Afghans living in camps there and in Iran.
