Lounge duo Zero 7 are favourites to take tonight's Mercury Music Prize after initially entering the field as outsiders.
Their debut album, 'Simple Things', has edged ahead of hotly tipped releases from the likes of Basement Jaxx and Super Furry Animals.
When the shortlist was announced Damon Albarn's side project Gorillaz were installed as favourites by William Hill.
They have since been removed because they were unhappy about being nominated. Zero 7 are 11/8 to take the prize, with Basement Jaxx second favourites at 7/2.
