The Gorillaz have reportedly pulled out of the Mercury Music Prize.
Award officials initially refused to accept their withdrawal because the band were put forward for the prize by their record company.
But the band now claim that their withdrawal has been accepted.
When the Mercury nominations were announced, Gorillaz bassist Murdoc said: "No thanks man! Why don't you nominate some other poor Muppet?!"
