Britney Spears' record label says rumours that she is to marry her *NSync boyfriend Justin Timberlake are "rubbish".
Justin was said to have made the romantic proposal during a recording session for their new love duet a month ago.
But a spokeswoman for Jive Records says that the rumours have been around for a number of weeks, and began when they were seen to be wearing matching diamond rings, which the couple say are only a sign of friendship.
