Tributes have been paid to the late French actor and singer, Philippe Leotard, who died at the weekend at the age of 60.
Leotard, who was the brother of former French defence minister Francois Leotard, starred in more than 70 films, including ‘Les Miserables’ in 1995 and ‘French Connection II’ in 1975.
Tributes were led by French President Jacques Chirac, who described Philippe Leotard as one of France's most moving artists.
Leotard died of respiratory failure in a Paris clinic.
