ITV has denied reports that Jacqueline Pirie has quit 'Coronation Street'. Producers say the pregnant actress, who plays Linda Baldwin, has taken early maternity leave.
It had been reported that Pirie had walked out for good during a crucial storyline, in which she disappears after her car plunges into a canal.
A spokeswoman for ITV said, "Jackie was feeling tired so we decided to let her go on maternity leave early. Obviously her health is our main priority".
