Girl trio Atomic Kitten have become the latest group to do their bit for the environment.
Their new album, ‘Right Now’, is carbon neutral, which means that trees will be planted to soak up the carbon dioxide created by the manufacture of the record.
The environmental organisation Future Forests measured the amount of the greenhouse gas produced during the production and distribution of the album.
Now the pop outfit will donate enough money to cover the cost of planting trees to reabsorb that carbon dioxide.
Sales of the album will help plant a forest near the Kitten’s home town of Liverpool.
The trio are currently at Number One in the UK with their cover of The Bangles’ ballad ‘Eternal Flame’.
