Westlife have issued a statement to reassure fans that they are not splitting up.
Speculation that the Irish boyband was to split came after reports that Shane was on the verge of signing a five album solo record deal.
A statement from the band and their record company said, "Westlife are currently recording their third album and are very excited about the prospects of making this album their best yet."
The boys said the rumours were "a load of rubbish!" adding, "bigger and better things from Westlife are yet to come."
Westlife has had eight British number one hit singles.
The first single from their new album is due for release in October with the album following in November.
