Eastenders actor Martin Kemp is quitting the popular soap, after signing a deal with ITV believed to be worth £1 million.
The ex-Spandau Ballet man has become a firm favourite with the soap's fans, playing suave strong man Steve Owen.
Kemp said: "I have had a wonderful time at Eastenders and I will be sad to leave, but I feel that it's time to move on."
He will leave the cast when his contract expires in April to work on unspecified projects for ITV.
