Steve Owen's dying mum Barbara kisses her son on the lips in tonight's episode of EastEnders.
The scene is "one of the most shocking" in the history of the soap, according to press reports.
The drama unfolds when Steve – actor Martin Kemp - visits his dying mother at her flat.
Barbara, played by Sheila Hancock, asks Steve for a kiss, but grabs his face and locks onto his lips.
