Jive records have announced that Britney Spears will cover the Joan Jett classic 'I Love Rock and Roll' for her next album.
The cover version will be on Spears' next album, which is due for release on November 6 this year.
It promises to be a new departure for the teen pop queen, as the song will be done as a hip-hop song.
The song will also feature on the soundtrack to Spears' film debut, 'What Friends Are For', which will hit cinemas early next year.
