Irish actor Pierce Brosnan is having a bout of verbal fisticuffs with producers over who is to direct the next James Bond movie.
Brosnan has asked requested Brett Ratner, the director of 'Rush Hour', but Bond producer Barbara Broccoli wants either Stuart Baird, whose credits include 'US Marshals', or 'Lost in Space' director Stephen Hopkins.
The new film, as yet untitled, will be Navan-born Brosnan's 4th outing as the suave spy.
