S Club 7 got off a plane and took a later flight after a stalker followed them.
The man dressed in combat fatigues had earlier been spotted at a record signing in Germany.
The band were said to be shocked when he turned up on the same flight to London so they decided to swap planes.
A spokesman for the band said, "While the band were at a record signing in Cologne they noticed a man behaving very oddly."
