Coronation Street star Nigel Pivaro, aka Terry Duckworth, claims he had been carrying a mobile phone and not a gun when he drove away from security officers at a port.
Security at a cross-Channel hovercraft in Dover tried to search him on suspicion of carrying a gun.
But Pivaro has told GMTV he "had had enough" and "did not like the way he was treated" by security guards and decided to drive away.
"If police want to talk to me I'm quite happy to do that," he said.
