Los Angeles police have taken advantage of the success of a new film, set in the world of street drag racing, to launch a raid on illegal car racers.
'The Fast and the Furious' was the most popular film in America over the weekend, but during the same time period police arrested six people for allegedly engaging in illegal street racing.
They also seized scores of hot rods and issued more than 200 spectators with court orders, Los Angeles Police Department spokesman Sergeant John Pasquariello said.
