REM guitarist faces air rage charges

REM guitarist Peter Buck appeared in court today on charges relating to an alleged air rage incident on board a trans-Atlantic flight.

Buck is accused of assaulting two members of British Airways' staff, using threatening behaviour, being drunk on board an aircraft and causing criminal damage during a flight from Seattle to Heathrow on 21 April this year.

The 44-year-old father of two, appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates Court and was committed to Isleworth Crown Court for a plea and directions hearing to be held on 31 July 31.

He was granted bail on surety of £20,000.
