Madonna has begun her Drowned World tour with a 2-hour stage show in Barcelona.
The singer sang 20 tracks, played the guitar and wore six different Jean-Paul Gaultier outfits during the show, representing the characters Punk Girl, Geisha Girl, Ninja Girl, Cyberpunk Cowgirl, Spanish Senorita and Ghetto Girl.
Explosions from 25 double-shot cannons ended the show, along with a video-screen appearance by Ali G, who told the crowd, "That's it. Piss off home."
Madonna has spent up to eight hours a day rehearsing for the tour, which includes dates in Germany, France, England and the US.
