Hollywood screenwriters have voted to approve a new contract with studios which gives its members a $41million increase over three years.
The deal was struck a month ago after marathon talks, but had to be put to a vote.
Under the agreement, writers will receive increased payments from video and DVD sales, and payment when their work is re-run on cable TV and in foreign markets.
