Eminem controversy brews Down Under

In Australia, family groups are lobbying the government to deny American rap artist Eminem an entry visa to tour the country.

Eminem has generated both outrage and praise for the graphic lyrics of his songs.

The Australian Family Association says that the government should put Eminem in the same category as historian and holocaust denier David Irving, who has been denied visas to Australia four times.

An immigration spokesman said the American singer would have to pass tough character checks before being allowed into the country.
