Oasis star Noel Gallagher has won unspecified damages and an apology from a British tabloid after the paper falsely claimed he had lied to a court, according to a spokeswoman for the musician.
Gallagher and his lawyer Anthony Burton agreed to accept "substantial damages" in an out-of-court settlement with the Mirror newspaper.
The story said that Gallagher had confessed to lying in court papers about adultery in his marriage to then wife Meg Mathews in order to get a faster divorce.
