Aguilera to sue music companies, producers

Pop star Christina Aguilera is suing two music companies and her former producers in an attempt to block the release of some demo tapes made several years ago.

According to Aguilera, a 13-song album is set for release on June 5; distributors have already started accepting tens of thousands of orders.

The companies involved believe they own the rights to the recordings and should be allowed to release the album without interference.

The recordings were made as a sample to introduce the singer to different record companies.
