Italian conductor Giuseppe Sinopoli has died following a heart attack. Sinopoli collapsed while conducting Berlin's Deutsche Opera in a performance of Verdi's Aida. The chief conductor at the Dresden Staatskapelle since 1992, 54 year old Sinopoli was one of the most lauded conductors in the world, as well as being a composer and medical doctor.
