U2 will battle it out with Craig David and David Gray for Best Contemporary Song at this year's Ivor Novello awards. The band's number one, 'Beautiful Day', has been nominated along with Craig David's 'Seven Days' and David Gray's 'Please Forgive Me' for the gong. All Saints' 'Pure Shores', Sonique's 'It Feels So Good' and Bob the Builder's 'Can We Fix It?' have all been nominated in the Best-Selling Single category. The awards ceremony takes place in London on May 24.
