An Italian-American group is suing the producers of the TV drama ‘The Sopranos’, saying it paints Italians as born criminals. The American Italian Defence Association are not seeking money or changes to the show - instead they want a court to proclaim that the programme violates the Illinois constitution's guarantee of individual dignity. Association chairman Theodore Grippo said they want to clear the reputation of Italian-Americans.
