Downey hearing postponed until February

Lawyers for actor Robert Downey Jr have succeed in postponing a hearing on his drugs possession case. The judge granted the postponement to allow more time for the defence to gather and examine evidence. The actor is charged with possession of cocaine, the prescription drug valium and being under the influence of a controlled substance; he has pleaded not guilty to the charges. If convicted, Mr Downey would face over four years in jail. He is now scheduled to re-appear in court on February 21.
