U2, boyband Westlife and Ronan Keating have been nominated in a number of categories in the shortlist for the 2001 Brit Awards. Aside from picking up an award for Outstanding Contribution To Music, U2 will do battle with Westlife and The Corrs in the Best International Group category. Westlife have also been nominated in two other categories: Best Pop Act and Best International Newcomer. Ronan Keating has received nominations for Best International Male Solo Artist and Best Pop Act. The ceremony takes place in London on February 26.
