For turkey farmer Gerry McMyler, in Maynooth, Co Kildare, Christmas preparations started in July when the birds hatched. He loves talking to his turkeys - they're better than any shrink. Every Christmas Gerry delivers turkeys to a hostel in Dublin, to ensure homeless people get a Christmas dinner as well. As Gerry says, "It's important to help others - we're all just a pay check away from disaster".
