To mark the start of the COP26 summit in Scotland, 19 public broadcasters from across Europe have collaborated on a new TV ad which spotlights climate change, reaffirming their shared commitment to cover the urgent issues around climate and sustainability. Broadcasters from Ireland (RTÉ), Wales, Germany, Estonia, France, Georgia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Italy, Belgium, Portugal, Switzerland, Spain, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine have worked with the European Broadcasting Union, and will air the commercial on their respective services.
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is the world's leading alliance of public service media. Well known as the producer of the annual Eurovision Song Contest, the EBU has 115 member organizations in 56 countries, and there are an additional 31 Associate Members in Asia, Africa, Australasia and the Americas. EBU members operate nearly 2,000 television, radio and online channels and services, and together they reach an audience of more than one billion people around the world, broadcasting in more than 160 languages.
