The RTÉ Toy Show Appeal is a designated fund to help a range of children's charities and causes around Ireland, which is managed on RTÉ’s behalf by The Community Foundation for Ireland www.communityfoundation.ie

All funds raised will be distributed by them in 2021, to spread the magic of the RTÉ Late Late Toy Show for many more children around the country.  50% of the monies raised will shared among three children’s charities, and the other 50% will be distributed as grants by Community Foundation for Ireland.

Children’s Health Foundation is the new name for CMRF Crumlin and Temple Street Foundation, which came together in January 2019 to become one foundation supporting all CHI sites to ensure every sick child has the very best chance.  Children’s Health Foundation is committed to supporting the little patients and families who attend Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) hospitals and urgent care centres in Temple Street, Crumlin, Connolly and Tallaght. Children’s Books Ireland is the national children’s books organisation of Ireland.  They aim to engage young people with books, foster a greater understanding of the importance of books for young people, and act as a core resource for those with an interest in books for children in Ireland. What happens to the other half of the monies raised?

The rest of the monies will be distributed as grants to organisations and groups which help children, by The Community Foundation for Ireland.  Charities and groups which meet the criteria for grants, will be invited to apply and successful applicants will receive the funds next year.  More information available at www.communityfoundation.ie

RTÉ Toy Show Appeal: Since it first aired over 45 years ago the Late Late Toy Show has become a national institution, and for many children and families it is one of their highlights of the year.  We want to harness the goodwill that the programme generates to make a difference of the lives of children in Ireland.  RTÉ Toy Show Appeal has been set up as a dedicated fund, with our partner The Community Foundation for Ireland, a registered charity with extensive experience in strategic giving, and helping a wide range of charities.
