A 26-year-old DJ has founded a new collective for young women working in the Irish creative sector.
DJ Mona-Lxsa, who's originally from Malawi, is the driving force behind Gxrl Code, whose members include singers, dancers and designers.
"There are a lot of girls out there who don't know how to get started in the industry. We want to educate, develop and empower them. I want to be their bigger sister," she said.
Mona-Lxsa is the latest subject of a series of videos for RTÉ's The Big Picture: A Woman's World.
The series examines what it is to be a woman in Ireland in 2018.
It culminates in a special documentary on RTÉ Player
