For Morning Ireland on RTÉ Radio 1, Grace Morgan and Laura Aherne from the Irish National Opera, discuss Oscar nominee Timothee Chalamet's controversial comments on opera and ballet - listen above.
Marty Supreme star Chalamet has triggered a backlash from the performing arts world after he dismissed ballet and opera as artforms that modern audiences do not care about.
The actor had been talking to Matthew McConaughey at a town hall event in Texas last month about his efforts to preserve cinema.
"I don't want to be working in ballet, or opera, or things where it's like, 'Hey, keep this thing alive, even though like no one cares about this anymore.'," Chalamet said.
"All respect to all the ballet and opera people out there", he quickly added (possibly too late).
