Rock on: veteran music journalist Stuart Bailie on his new memoir

Mo Chara, DJ Provaí and Móglaí Bap of Kneecap perform during day four of Glastonbury

Do you remember a time, pre-internet, when fans relied on magazines like the NME and Melody Maker to find out about new music?

Stuart Bailie is a music journalist and author from Belfast who has interviewed and reviewed everyone from Bjork and Tom Waits to Kneecap in 40 years of writing for the NME, among others.

Now he has collected those stories – and some of his own – in the book, The Song is Nearly Over, and he'll be talking about them on Thursday 19th February at the Seamus Heaney Homeplace in Bellaghy. For RTÉ Arena, Stuart Bailie spoke to Rick - listen above.

The Song Is Nearly Over is published by Dig With It - listen to more from RTÉ Arena here
