The Irish Writers Centre in collaboration with Dublin UNESCO City of Literature, supported by Dublin City Council, has released the latest installment of its series Dublin, One City, Many Stories - watch below.

This episode brings together two of Ireland's most acclaimed voices — filmmaker and novelist Neil Jordan and Booker Prize-winning author John Banville — in a rare, candid conversation.

Filmed at the Irish Writers Centre on Parnell Square, Dublin, the discussion offers frank reflections on friendship, creativity, and the literary life, with both writers swapping stories of their early influences, their encounters with Dublin’s cultural landscape, and their perspectives on what it means to write today.

This is a rare, no-filters conversation on writing, Dublin and the literary ghosts that shaped them.

The series celebrates 15 years of Dublin's designation as a UNESCO City of Literature and the Irish Writers Centre's ongoing mission to support writers at all stages of their careers - find out more here.
