A children's festival which has been described as a "joyous celebration" will return to Galway next month.
The 29th Baboró International Arts Festival for Children will tell stories through circus, dance, puppetry, literature, visual art, music, food and theatre.
Executive Artistic Director Aislinn Ó hEocha said there will be a variety of work from countries including Belgium, England, France, Spain and The Netherlands as well as acts from Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Running from October 10th - 19th, events at this year’s festival include 'First Impressions' by Cork based artist Jane Hayes, an exhibition made especially for early years audiences where sculpture, textiles, photography and animation come together.
From France, a dance show, Matiére premiére by Compagnie par Terre which blends street and African dance and explores themes of heritage, resilience and connection.
Over ten days, schools and families are invited to attend the numerous shows throughout Galway city. The festival will also cater for audiences in Galway’s suburbs and rural areas.
