EVENT: CRUINNIÚ NA NÓG 2025
Cruinniú na nÓg is the national day of free creativity for children and young people under 18. This all-island celebration will host over 1,000 free events across the country, celebrating creativity through music, art, circus, storytelling film and more. Ireland is the only country in the world to have a national day celebrating young people's creativity - Cruinniú na nÓg invites all young people to explore something new, unlock their imagination, and be part of this unique celebration of creativity and expression. EVENT: HAPPY BIRTHDAY MRS DALLOWAY
To mark the centenary of Virginia Woolf's iconic novel Mrs Dalloway, the Irish Writers Centre will host a special day of panels and conversation, curated by acclaimed writer Belinda McKeon. The event features a stellar line-up including Mary Cregan, Naoise Dolan, Emilie Pine, Nuala O'Connor and Claire-Louise Bennett, gathering to celebrate a literary masterpiece, with conversations about memory, expression, writing the city, and much else besides (Saturday 7th June, Irish Writers Centre, Dublin)
THEATRE: THE CAVE
We meet the McRae brothers in a dead zone in the mountains of south County Sligo; sleeping rough in a cave and in trouble with the law, Archie and Bopper are running out of road. This desperate pair have only each other to rely on as they try to restart their van, their lives and their WiFi connection... The summer show at the Abbey Theatre is a pitch-black comedy from writer Kevin Barry, directed by Abbey Artistic Director, Caitríona McLaughlin and featuring a knockout cast: Aaron Monaghan, Judith Roddy and Tommy Tiernan (6th June – 18th July, Abbey Theatre Dublin)

TELEVISION: HELL FOR LEATHER
Over 5 years in the making, RTÉ presents the first major television history of Gaelic Football, exploring its evolution from inception to the modern day, and the incalculable contribution which the sport has made to Irish life. Chronicling how the game has changed through more than a century of rebellion and revolution, bitter rivalries, triumphs, upsets and comebacks, the series is both a celebration and exploration of a unique arm of Irish life (From 9th June @ 9.35pm, RTÉ One and RTÉ Player)
