The inaugural Festival of Voice is a weekend event celebrating the power, beauty and universality of the human voice.
Showcasing Ireland's finest vocal talent alongside international artists, the event takes place at the National Concert Hall and throughout Dublin city from the 27-29th June, and will feature a mix of main stage concerts, intimate performances, pop-up events, and interactive workshops.
On Saturday 28th, sean-nos master Iarla O’Lionaird, will perform some of Ireland’s ancient songs, alongside soprano Eimear Quinn and rising star Tolü Makay, bringing the audience on a journey of Irish song accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra under the baton of conductor David Brophy.
Iarla joined Sean in studio for RTÉ Arena - listen to their conversation above.
