RTE lyric fm's Aedín Gormley talked to acclaimed actress, Jessica Lange, at this year's Dublin International Film Festival - listen above.
Jessica Lange has continued to take on diverse roles in many film, television and theatre projects. She took home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in Sydney Pollack's memorable comedy Tootsie (1982) and was also nominated that year for her challenging performance in Frances. She won her second Oscar in 1994 for Best Actress in Blue Sky. Lange has also starred in legendary films such as Sweet Dreams (1985), The Postman Always Rings Twice (1981), and Cape Fear (1991).

On the small screen she impressed in Grey Gardens, Feud: Bette and Joan and American Horror Story. She won a Tony award for her role of Mary Tyrone in A Long Day's Journey into Night, on Broadway and was in Dublin to celebrate the film version of this epic play, which had its world premiere at the Dublin International Film Festival. The film's male lead Ed Harris also attended the festival, and they were both presented with the Volta Award honouring outstanding contributions to the art of filmmaking.
