Dublin's Light House Cinema will once again play host to the Storyhouse festival, a celebration of screen storytelling, set to take place on April 3rd and 4th, 2025.
Now in its second year, the event brings together some of the industry’s most acclaimed writers for discussions, panels, and in-depth interviews aimed at both aspiring and established screenwriters.
Among the high-profile speakers confirmed for this year’s event are recent Oscar and BAFTA winner Peter Straughan (Conclave), Oscar winner Kenneth Lonergan (writer and director of Manchester By The Sea), Laurie Nunn (Sex Education), and Nia DaCosta, director of Candyman, The Marvels and one of the forthcoming 28 Days Later sequels.
Supported by Screen Ireland, Fremantle and Element Pictures and produced in association with the Light House, Storyhouse was founded by Academy Award-nominated producer and Element Pictures co-CEO Ed Guiney, with the aims of fostering a culture of storytelling excellence in Ireland.
Building on the success of its inaugural event, this year will also see the expansion of the Storyhouse Lab, an interactive programme running for five days, guided by BAFTA and IFTA-winning screenwriter Malcolm Campbell (What Richard Did, Bad Sisters) and offering a select group of emerging writers exclusive mentorship sessions with leading industry figures.
