Renowned bassist and vocalist Gail Ann Dorsey takes the stage in Dublin this week for special performances at the Dublin Bowie Festival, joining forces with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra to celebrate the music of the late icon. She talked to Kay Sheehy for RTÉ Arena above.
Known for her decade-long tenure in David Bowie's band, Dorsey became a fan favorite for her powerful rendition of Under Pressure and her unmistakable bass lines on some of Bowie's most celebrated tours.
Beyond Bowie, she has collaborated with major artists including Tears for Fears, Lenny Kravitz, and The National, solidifying her reputation as one of the most sought-after musicians in the industry.
