This year, I plan to spend the summer solstice on the peak of Carrauntoohil, joining the annual procession of walkers to the summit, where a group sets up camp overnight, and watches the sun rise over the MacGillycuddy's Reeks.
I hope for a clear morning, where, gloved and booted, sipping coffee from a flask and squeezing my toes to stay warm, I'll see the mystic lines of light...
