Singer Anohni talked to RTÉ Arena about her connection to the late, great Lou Reed, whose songs she will be performing at the National Concert Hall,Dublin at the end of this month.
Anohni's relationship with Reed stretches back over two decades; in 2003, she was a supporting vocalist on his Animal Serenade tour and performed on a number of tracks on Reed’s Edgar Allan Poe-inspired album The Raven.
In 2006, she sang backing vocals for Reed’s first full performance of Berlin in New York and Sydney - in addition, Reed contributed vocals and guitar to Fistful of Love from her Mercury Prize-winning album I Am a Bird Now.
