Macdara Yeates is one of the artists associated with the resurgence of traditional singing in Dublin over the last number of years - he talks to RTÉ Arena above.
A former member of the band Skipper Alley, he is one of the founding members of the monthly singing group at Smithfields famous Cobblestone pub – The Night Before Larry Got Stretched – named after the 18th century ballad.
Other members of the collective - singers like Lisa O'Neill and Lankum’s Radie Peat and Ian Lynch - have released many albums between them since the group started in 2012, but Traditional Singing From Dublin is the debut album from Macdara.
